Upgrade MSME 8.6 to 8.8 - Windows Server

New releases of this product don't seem to bet announced via SNS - why is that?

I only noticed that v8.7 and v8.8 had been released when I tried to install ePO 5.10 patch 10 which failed because the MSME 8.6 (which I had thought was the most current version) extension is not compatible with the new version of Apache patch 10 installs.

So, now I am trying to work through the MSME 8.6 to 8.8 upgrade.

In the instruction to migrate the policies from 8.6 to 8.8, it is mentioned:

"4. Type the McAfee ePO SQL named instance if created during the server installation, otherwise leave it blank. Then press Enter.
The policy upgrade process starts. Wait for it to complete."

What does this mean? Is this the name of the database server itself? The name of one of the SQL databases themselves? Something else? How would I know if whatever is being referred to here was created during the server installation, or not? What are the alternatives to the SQL named instance being created during the server installation?

I tried to follow the link to KB76921 from the below statement in the document, but I get message "this content is retired and no longer available".

"Note: For more information on the policy upgrade tool, see McAfee Knowledge Base article KB76921 — Using the MSME ePO
Upgrade tool."
