Re: McAfee Security for Microsoft Exchange stopped update

I have uninstalled McAfee Security for Microsoft Exchange from the server.

I then reinstalled the product and all the Patches and Hotfixes.

The AV DAT file is now updating

Re: McAfee Security for Microsoft Exchange stopped update

I had the same thing but we don't have Cloud. I just ended up creating a daily DAT update via ePO instead.

Re: McAfee Security for Microsoft Exchange stopped update

Errors for update failure /policy enforcement etc will usually be in the Agent Logging files.

For 4.8.xxxx agent this would be agent_<your machinename>.log and mcscript.log

Will be in something like %Programdata%\mcafee\common framework.

Re: McAfee Security for Microsoft Exchange stopped update

This should only happen and stay on MCAFEE EPO integrated Mcafee Security for Exchange. That means where you MANAGE the POLICY from the Mcafee Security for Exchange on the EPO and not on the Exchange with GUI itself (Very confusing....)

There is no solution. It's just the DISPLAY on the GUI (Exchange itself).

Even when you have the latest DAT (Check in EPO or download latest DAT and try to install on Exchange).

Anybody time to talk to 1st level Mcafee support can open a ticket and run 20 MER reports 😉
