MSME 8.5 Patch 1

We have MSME 8.5 running in our exchange 2013 org. We use to have an exchange 2016 edge server in place. This server would not boot so i took it out of commission. Now we need to re-implement the exchange 2016 edge server. So i built a new server using server 2016 and exchange 2016 CU2. I then installed MSME 8.5 patch 1 and it did install fine. However, when i access http://localhost/MSME i am prompted to login and i do using the local admin username and password but after the login all that is displayed is a white screen. I tried with chrome and IE 11 with the same white screen. Can anyone give me some insifgt as to why this is  ot working correctly?

first off if you haven't done so, you will need to install msme hot fixes 1111610 and 1144496.  the later is for compatibility with exchange 2016.

then when accessing the gui, do the following;

right click on the IE icon, and select internet explorer and click run as admin

then put in the url to open the msme gui (https://localhost/msme/0409/index.html)

due to windows uac, just clicking on the msme desktop icon doesn't provide the needed rights to get into the gui.
