[JavaScript Eror: this.list(sel) has no properties {file:"file:///c:/Program%Files%20(x86)/McAfee/MSME/ui/js/TimeRestriction.js"line:229}]

We are using MSME 7.6.7718.105 on a Exchange 2010 on a Windows Server 2008 Standard R2/P1 and we are getting an error :

[JavaScript Eror: this.list(sel) has no properties {file:"file:///c:/Program%Files%20(x86)/McAfee/MSME/ui/js/TimeRestriction.js"line:229}]

the error happens whenever we try to modify the anti-spam rules.

The Java version is 6 Update31 (64but) (21/02/2012)

We have 4 identical server running the same versions, 2 front-end and 2 back-end but only this server is giving this error.

We have tried replacing the file TimeRestriction.js from one of the good machines, but this still gave the same error.

Any clues?

Stop the service. (make sure safeservice.exe, rpcserv.exe(2) and postgres.exe (several) all leave task manager).

Access <msme install folder>\config\ rename the mcafeeconfig.xml to mcafeeconfig.old.

Take same file from working server (running same configuration) and copy it into this folder.

In <msme install folder>\config\  there is a list of Lang Code Folders e.g. 0409 for English .

Inside that there is default folder and inside that is a default McAfeeConfig.xml

take copy and copy into <msme install folder>\config\

Restart service - open the config and see if error gone.
