Import groupshield settings/configuration

Hey,

we have an old MS 2003 Server with exchange 2003 and groupshield 7.0 running standalone (not managed by epo).

Now we are upgrading to MS Server 2008 R2 with exchange 2010 and want to protect the exchange 2010 by groupshield 7.0.2 (managed by epo 4.6).

When i export the config from the standalone groupshield, i get a *.cfg file which i cannot import into epo (*.xml needed).

How can i solve that problem, cause i realy don't want go through every setting and compare the 2 groupshields....

Hope you can help me.

regards

Re: Import groupshield settings/configuration

Well, if just want from one to another Groupshield server (not managed by EPO) the just export and import the config!

If you want from unmanaged GS server to managed GS server (managed by epo), you have to "import" the settings by hand....

Not too sure I get what your saying .... if you import a config from unmanaged GS to a managed GS - surely at next policy enforcement, on the managed GS, the imported config detail will be written over by settings in ePO assigned to that "managed" machine.
