Cleanup after MSME upgrade

I have recently (2 months ago) upgraded MSME from version 8 to version 8.6 on both of my exchange 2010 servers.

now under C:\ProgramData\McAfee\MSME there are 2 folders, Data and Upgrade.

I know they contain copies of the postgres sql database and the quarantine database, and looking at the modified dates on the contents, nothing inthe upgrade folder has been touched since the day i performed the upgrade.

Can someone tell me if the upgrade folder is safe to be removed? it's hogging 16GB of space on a server that is getting pretty tight for drive space

thanks

Re: Cleanup after MSME upgrade

The folder in use will be specified at

Interface - Setttings & Diagnostics - Detected Items

Reflected at :-

HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\McAfee\MSME\Repository\Variables - DataPath

Default is C:\ProgramData\McAfee\MSME\Data (or McHOME\data (which is the variable for it))

Unless it was specifically chosen to use the folder name Upgrade then it is not in use and you can delete.
