What version of MEG and patch level are you using? Would recommend installing the latest available as there are always some improvements into database management and maintenance.
Additionally, if /logs/db is filling up, it may be that there is some underlying problem with the database. I would suggest contacting McAfee support and open a service request to have this looked into in more detail.
You can also have a look at /logs/system/cla to see if there is any obvious issue with the database.
