Undeliverable email message when email gets delivered


We have 3 MEG devices acting as 3 email relay servers, M1, M2, M3. We have seen that for a specific domain ", when an email is relayed via M1/M2, email gets delivered however sender still gets a "undelivered message" with below message:

The following message to <**personal information omitted**> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.2 - Bad destination host 'DNS Hard Error looking up (A): domain has no A record'

However, if it goes via M3, all is ok, no issues seen.

Any guidance on how we should fix this or why would we get "undelivered message". Please note it happens only for this "" domain onM1/M2... but not M3.
