I knew that a tarpit action used to delays the response to the email message, but I can't determine what is the main benefit that I could achieve; using it?

Hi Abdelaziz_Salah,

Tarpit Action was used in MEG to mitigate the massive mailing, directory harvesting, and other DOS.

MEG will hold for the suspicious connection. Once MEG is started to hold the connection, Then it will create a delay in email processing and If any specific sender is sending a massive email/ connection to MEG, Those will get queued/pending in the sender server.
