a user get the following email, "
The message body and any attachments have been replaced or removed.
Your Email has been blocked based on certain rules governing email usage at My Company .
If your email is legitimate and for business purposes, please forward
this email to "ME" to have it released.
when i log in the MEG, it shows the email has been delivered to " exchange ip"
when i contact the recipient, they never received the email.
Can i please be assisted as to why i am getting this confusing on my MEG
t's MEG 7.6
obviously your MEG is configured to replace the body of the mail if the size is exceeded. And MEG has sent the altered mail to your Exchange server (just as the log says). If the MEG rule is configured to also quarantine the mail, you can release the original mail at your Quarantine Manager (if using off-box quarantine) or see KB80002 if using on-box quarantine.See Email > Quarantine Configuration > Quarantine Options for which type of quarantine you use.
thanks for reply,
yes it replaces the body of the email if it exceeds the mail size, yes i am using on box, some how it is not quarantining the email, please refer to the picture attached
I have no experience with on-box quarantine whatsoever (just with MQM), but can't you select the message and choose "release" (or something like that) from the "Options" drop down? Alternatively you could select the message and click on "Download Messages"?
