SNS ProTip for SIEM: Troubleshooting SIEM ESM Upgrades

Following are two resources to reference when upgrading your SIEM Product.

  • KB82385 – Reports do not run correctly after an upgrade.
    Depending on the versions of ESM that you are upgrading from and to (including hotfixes), the changes might affect the storage and processing of reports. A report contains a large amount of queries and filters and can sometimes be impacted by the changes made in the underlying application, causing the issues described above. Find out how to troubleshoot this issue in this KB article.
  • KB82402 – System version remains unchanged after Software update on a SIEM device.
    There are a few reasons why this issue might occur, including an invalid update file, other files in the update directory, wrong update file uploaded, or a system problem has prevented the update. Click on the KB link above for instructions on how to troubleshoot this issue.
