Email Connector

What the Email Connector is NOT

ATD does NOT listen to email traffic as an email gateway, but it expects email traffic to be coming FROM an email gateway. ATD does not have any of the email gateway functionalities. We expect the email coming to ATD should be coming from a secure email gateway.

All the basic email scanning has been done already, like scan for spam, AV, phishing tools etc.

After that, if the secure email gateway does not find the email to be malicious and it wants to scan the attachments in the email, then the secure email gateway should forward it to ATD.

NOTE: ATD does not scan the email content - ONLY the attachments (and only if they are supported file types).

From there, ATD will add its header and send it back to the secure email gateway.

The secure email gateway will have a policy enforcement on the sent email, and deliver it to the client.
