Vault marked Invalid after S/W Update

I recently extended my subscription, and after a software update my 50MB vault is now inaccessible.  I have File Lock Build 3.1.116 on a Windows 7 PC.


The vault icon shows up as above.  A message shows "Vault Status: Invalid.  The vault can not be found."

However, my vault file still resides in both my Users\<username>\AppData\Local\McAfee Anti-Theft and Users\<username>\AppData\Local\McAfee File Lock subdirectories, with an additional VaulInfo file in the latter.

I ran MVT which reported correcting a registry entry, but could not fix a corrupt or missing com file shown below.  Here is the remaining problem per the MVT log:


The mcbr3264.dll file is not in the indicated subdirectory.

How can I restore this file most safely to hopefully regain access to my Vault ??

Or will the next software update patch take care of this problem, which I noticed someone else has reported on this forum.

I have the same problem. Have had no help so far on how to fix it. I have important documents locked away and seriously can't afford to lose them.

Try re-importing your vault.

1. Open up Windows explorer go to File Lock.

2.  YOu will see an advanced button

3.  Use the browse button and fine your vault file
