send syslog events

Hi,

I'm troubleshooting a syslog forwarding issue, may i know which log can i check to see if clients successfully send the events to syslog server?

Can confirm:

1. syslog is correctly configured in dlp client conf policy

2. telnet 514 port is good.

Re: send syslog events

The DLP Agent creates syslog data every 15 minutes on the client system in the directory below:

C:\ProgramData\McAfee\DLP\Agent\<UserSID>\Syslog\<SyslogServerDomain>

Do you see any files in this directory?

Also, what type of rule are you testing with to generate an event?

Re: send syslog events

yes we saw the files, we tested web post rules/email protection rules and removal storage protection rules, but seems our splunk server only received the removable storage protection events..
