.ics files are being blocked when using Outlook 2016 on windows 10.

and the vulnerability McAfee thinks it is preventing only applies to Office 2003

You can disable Microsoft Outlook VEVENT Vulnerability on Policy Catalog -- Threat Prevention -- Exploit Prevention -- Default -- Signatures. Vulnerability ID is 3809. Untick Block and Report and click Apply.

And then, click Policy Catalog -- Threat Prevention -- Exploit Prevention -- Default -- Exclusion and add button. You can select Files - Proccess - Registery and you can enter the *.ics for File name or path. 

Lastly, Wake-up all Managed users.
