Microsoft Edge is considered an unsupported browser when DLP Endpoint is installed. The Microsoft Edge versions that are not supported are:
Microsoft Edge v42 and later (with DLP Endpoint 11.x.x).

I asked the same to support team about 2 months ago, and what kb 89089 mentioned is their answer.

The new Edge browser is not supported as well.

Just installed DLP 11.6 and I don't see the exclusions for msedge.exe in the "McAfee DLP Endpoint ignores access to files performed by the following applications" section, and I can't add it in there either.

Invalid process name. web fingerprinting is only supported by chrome.exe, firefox.exe, iexplore.exe and microsoftedgecp.exe

DLP version 11.6 does not fully support Edge and Chrome browsers, as is the case with FF and IE. When you try to send text from a form in browsers with a chromium engine, an incident is triggered, but the data exits the browser. In DLP Incydent Mgr there is a "no action" message and a message about the lack of support for this type of browsers. Therefore, you need to open a question to McAfee: when will there be a DLP version that will 100% support browsers with a chromium engine ??? In a moment, we will stay as users with only one browser, because IE has the EoL status.

Very well said it is complete flaw in mcafee dlp for not supporting edge and chrome .

OEM should work hard on this..
