Under Windows Client Configuration-->Advanced Configuration-->Access Protection Settings. Please disable
DLP access protection: |
Now apply this policy and test if Windows updates are successful.
Thank you VERY much for the response. Disabling that allowed the backup to complete successfully. Is there possibly a way to set up exclusions so that I do not have to disable the entire functionality of Access Protection for DLP?
There is one option where DLP can trust the backup application.

Thank you again for this link. I run into an issue on Step 5 under Adding the Template to a Rule. Step 5 has me "Under Settings, click Application Strategy.". This option is not available. I have checked the Product guide for DLP 11.0 and 11.1 and both say to access this option which I am not able to locate. I went through and created a new DLP Policy and still no option for Application Strategy.
1.Click on Policy Catalog.
2. From the Drop down(Product) select Data Loss Prevention.
3. Select DLP Policy under Category
4. Click on any of the DLP policies.
You will see the suggested option under 'Settings'.
Ensure that we first test it on a test policy instead of production one. Attached is the screenshot for further guidance.
Very interesting. I have Device Classes as well as Privileged Users, but I do not have the option of Application Strategy.
Looks like you have Device Control(Enterprise) only license not the full one.
Login to ePO console-->Menu-->DLP Settings->General tab License.
Yep. The only license I have is for McAfee DLP Endpoint. Well thank you for your time and assistance with this. I do greatly appreciate it.
You are welcome!
