Hi Heroes,
My customer is using file extension based content classification criteria, and he asks me how to aviod data leaks when end user changed the file extension.
I know we can use True File Type, but what I dont understand is why True File Type can still tracks the original file info even we changed the file extension? thanks in advance!!!

The DLP 11.5 Product Guide has a statement about True File Type that may answer your question. The link in the previous sentence should bring you to the statement, but I've also pasted it below for your convenience.
"True file type identifies the file by its internally registered data type, providing accurate identification even if the extension was changed."
Please let us know if that answers your question.
