Setting up DLP Evidence Share on a server different than ePO and ePO is not on domain
We are currently trying to setup the DLP evidence share on a Windows server that is different than the ePO server. The ePO server is in AWS and the evidence share server is in another data center. The ePO server is not on the domain. The evidence share server is on the domain. We added a local DLP account to the evidence share server and changed the ePO app server account to .\thedlpaccount so it can access/decrypt evidence share files. In creating the evidence share directory we followed the KBs for evidence share setup, however, since the ePO server is not on the domain we added the local dlp account we created to the permissions so in theory the ePO server should be able to access the share. We have verified that the user computers can copy into the new evidence share but we still can't connect to the evidence share in the ePO DLP Settings area with our local dlp account we created. The servers, although not on the same domain, are on the same internal subnet. Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks for any feedback or ideas, etc., that anybody can provide.
Re: Setting up DLP Evidence Share on a server different than ePO and ePO is not on domain
Just an update. We are now able to connect to the new evidence share from DLP settings and from the client config policies in ePO, however, when we try to view new evidence in the DLP Incident Manager the account gets denied on the evidence share server and ends up getting locked out. We then have to manually unlock the account.
So we can connect to the new evidence share from DLP settings and client config policy. Confirmed that hosts can connect to the share and have the ability to post evidence. But whenever we try to view new evidence from ePO the account used ends up getting locked out on the server with the evidence share.
Thanks for any ideas or feedback anybody can provide.
