I set up HDLP 9.3 and configured repository scanner on the server.
I have a share with xml files and tiff files. when the task run for discovery share all files xml works fine but for *.tif files I received this error:
201310010008.tif:Fail (There is not Enough text)
does anyone use scanner repository for image files?

thanks for reply..
We need to monitor folder that contain xml files and tiff files.
The folder is automatically update and we cannot use manual tag.
Does anyone idea how to tag these files automatically ?
we monitor files in another way, because location based rule doesn't recognize all image files..
Also there is a limit number of file that you can scan in the folder.
I opened a ticket to mcafee support and the answer was that dlp doesn't work with image files...
DLPe cannot read image, binary or encrypted files because there is no readable content in there.
Registered Documents Repository Definition(s) and Registered Documents Classification Rule(s) are not going to work because it is looking for readable content.
Location Based Tagging Rule (not the same as Registered Documents Classification Rule) can tag image, binary or encrypted files as long as these files originate from a specific location and content is not used as a criterion (as in Text Patterns or Dictionaries are not used in the rule).
