Registered Documents cannot work - DLP Endpoint

Dear team,

I configured Manual Registration and EDM, create package, Classification and create a policy rule for endpoint DLP. But end-user still can send the sensitive documents. The Agent cannot regconize sensitive Data.

How are the files being transferred?(FTP, Web Post, Upload) What types of files are they? Can you try to put the data in a word document yourself and do a test?

I've seen issues before with excel files not registering data between cells.

Dear @tuker84,

Manual Registration: tried Webpost (pdf, word), but it can send the documents.
Exact Data Matching: tried text, excel (same as excel upload to EDM), but it can send the documents.
This Registered document feature cannot use and apply policy.

Do you have any solutions on this case?

What web browser are you using? DLP isn't compatible with Microsoft Chromium Edge

Can you try to check on the client machine if you have the file in the below folder location?

C:\ProgramData\McAfee\DLP\Agent\IncrementalData\RegDocsDB.dat

On Client machines don't have C:\ProgramData\McAfee\DLP\Agent\IncrementalData\RegDocsDB.dat. How can I fix it?

Hi @DucDinh ,

Can you check if in your evidence share folder there is folder called RegDocs created? And that should have the file named below,

RegDocsDB_XXX.dat

And this regdocs db file will be downloaded by the DLP on the client machine from the evidence share folder. Kindly make sure there are no evidence share permission issues.

I have share the storage for everyone, the clients can connect it without authentication. But the Mcafee Clients still cannot receive anything in C:\ProgramData\McAfee\DLP\Agent\IncrementalData\

Note: My Sharefolder is same as McAfee EPO, and all of clients are using local accounts.
