Problem after upgrading to DLP 3.0

Hi, I have upgraded DLP to V3.0 (from 2.2) over the last few days. All appeard well however on the initial installation wizard it asked me to specify the "Policy Manager WCF Service Path" which is currently set to - http ://localhost:8731/DLPWCF/ManagementConsoleWCFService

I have modified this to http ://10.1.10.20:8731/DLPWCF/ManagementConsoleWCFService
(10.1.10.20 is the IP Address of our EPO server).

However when I test the connection it reports the following error "Failed connection to http ://10.1.10.20:8731/DLPWCF/ManagementConsoleWCFService" - "Exception information: could not connect to http ://10.1.10.20:8731/DLPWCF/ManagementConsoleWCFService.TCP Error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine activly refused it 10.1.10.20:8731"

I have this logged with McAfee but they are unsure at the moment and and looking into it.

If it is relevant I am running EPO 4.5 which was upgraded yesterday.

Any help very much appreciated.

Regards,

Steve.

I have deliberately put a space between the http and : so that the forum does not automatically pick it up as a url and shorten the text.

RE: Problem after upgrading to DLP 3.0

you dont have access protection rules on the server blocking access to the port do you?

RE: Problem after upgrading to DLP 3.0

Thanks for the response but no the ports are not blocked..... McAfee support asked me to check ports 1433 and 8731......

1433 is the default SQL port

page 26 for troubleshooting DLP 3.0 with epo 4.5

RE: Problem after upgrading to DLP 3.0

Thanks but I have already been through all that before I posted here.

I should probably add that DLP was working ok on the server prior to the upgrade to V3.

RE: Problem after upgrading to DLP 3.0

Just in case anyone else has the same issue.

I had not installed the WCF service since the upgrade. One that was installed it is working fine.

RE: Problem after upgrading to DLP 3.0

OK. Did you install DLPWCF to ePO or your DB? There is a DLPWCF testing link you can find in the install guide? Check if that would be of help? Let me know.

Was there ever a solution to this issue? I am seeing the same thing on my new Win7 install, with EPO 4.5
