Printer Protection missing from rule set

Jump to solution

We are running DLPe 11.4.x and are trying to implement printer protection.   However, the printer protection rule set is not listed in the Definitions page of the DLP Policy Management console.  I believe it may be a licensing issue but I'm really not sure.  Has anyone encountered this issue before?

Additional Info:
ePO 5.9.1
DLP 11.4.x w/ Extension 11.5.x
License: DLP Endpoint Device Control (perpetual)

Regards

Hello and thank you for posting here!

If the license you have is DLP Endpoint Device Control, this unfortunately would not include any data protection rules such as the Printer Protection rule. In order to access data protection rules, you will need the DLP Endpoint Data Protection and Device Control license.

Thanks so much for in the information.  Our current license is govt. furnished so I'm not familiar with the purchasing end of it.  Would you happen to know what the process is or whom to contact for a quote?

Hi @mmarti30 ,

You can try contacting the McAfee Partner from where the DLP Device Control license was purchased or you can reach out to the McAfee sales engineer who is assigned to your account.

Or you can use the below form to contact McAfee Sales,

Thank you.
