We are enabling the DLP module(s) for Windows in our environment. We just pushed it out and we discovered on some machines (HP DL360 servers) that the DLP module is continually growing in memory and system handles, to the point that it makes the system nearly unresponsive. On a 16GB server, it was taking over 10GB of memory with 10million handles in use.
Has anyone seen an issue like this? Are there any logs that we can check out to see what's going on?
Our versions of ePO and the DLP modules are below.
DLP 11.3.2 and 11.4 (we upgraded to try and resolve)
McAfee Agent 5.0.6
Windows Server 2016
DLP policy isn't specifically set, it's using the My Default.
This does not appear to be an issue on our virtual servers, only on our physical ones. This occurs on every model of DL360 from a G8 to a G10.
Thanks for any ideas of things to check out, it's appreciated.
We had a similar issue affecting us. Our issue was related to Chrome protection being enabled, once we turned that off, the performance issue went away. We have had a SR open with support since September on this issue. Tried out multiple hotfixes and manually replaced the fcags.exe file so far to no avail.
