Non Storage Devices

We are going to implement DLP soon (just starting to look into it) and I was curious if DLP can stop people from plugging in non-storage devices into a systems USB.  What happens when for instance someone plugs in a set of personally owned USB powered speakers.   Assume it will not be impacted, but was curious since we have no experience yet.

Re: Non Storage Devices

I would like to suggest you to allow or block the USB devies either by Product name or Product ID.You need to create the rules in DLP.For example if you want to allow a USB with product ID 12345 , you need to create a rule againt it and the USB (with product ID 12345) will work when connect it in network/systems and apart from it others will not work/detect.
