The latest ReadME and install guides should have the instructions set as using a "." to define the directory.
The path you have the extracted and run the installation from is /data/install/manager but the path defined is /data/imanager/
Changing the installation to the following would have resulted without the error:
# ./install_new_full imanager .
I am trying to install NDLP Discovery on VMWare. I followed the Installation guide instructions of ver 9.2.
As per guide I done ndlp manager installed successfully after this i extracted ndlp discovery.tgz file on my vmware image and when I run ./install_new_full product path then below error appears.
Please install the McafeeNDLPmlos-1.1.5-1.x86_64.rpm before install this release."
Where can I find this rpm package file.
Here's how I converted the Manager to Discover after I found the same error:
(so I can put the software in location where it can be unpacked)
cp ndlp_idiscover.tgz /data/install/discover9.2/
tar -xvfz ndlp_idiscover.tgz
./install_new_full idiscover .
The last command uses a new version of "install_new_full" and it forces the shell to look in the working directory for the bits (don't forget the ".")
This should work also for Monitor and Prevent software installs.
