McAfee DLP Endpoint 11 Patch 4 - How to change the device class status (from Unmanaged to Managed)

Hi,

I have recently installed McAfee DLP Endpoint 11 Patch 4 on my W10 Workstation (Test Environment), with my McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Server 5.9 Patch 1 (client task).

I try to configure a McAfee DLP Policy which block wireless communication, by using the KB85389 "How to block all wireless communication (Wi-Fi) devices using Data Loss Prevention Endpoint 9.4"

But, I'm unable to change the status of the device class "Network Adapters" (from Unmanaged to Managed). The parameters are greyed out. (I use the Admin account to connect to the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Administration Interface).

Is-it possible to change the device class status with McAfee DPL Endpoint 11 ? If Yes, what is the process ?

Hi Thomas,

For built-in device class, please go to policy catalog --> choose the applied policy --> settings tab --> Device Class.

choose the required Device class and change from unmanged to manage.

Thank you for your help.

I have successfully changed the status of the device class "Network Adapters".

My McAfee DLP policy which block the bluetooth and wireless (wifi) communication works.
