Issue with DLP Incident ID's Order/Sequence.

Hi Team,

We Observed an Issue with DLP Incident Id's Order/sequence , Jan 20th generated Incident Number is Lower than the Jan 19th generated Incident Number for the Same User and Machine.

1) Can we ask the how the DLP Incident Ids will be created or generated in ePo? (sequence or random)

2) Will DLP Incident ID Number follow Order based on the Incident Generated Time?

It would be great if you can explain in details about Incident IDs.

Eg: 20th Jan- 209537284,

      19thJan - 209570854

Thanks,

Vinay.

Re: Issue with DLP Incident ID's Order/Sequence.

Incident can be generated on 19 Jan, but it is important date when event was delivered to ePO (system can be offline for few hours or days). When system went online, event was send to ePO and was assigned next available Incident ID in database.
Incident ID is created on ePO (database) side (sequentially), not by McAfee Agent or DLP endpoint.
