What I need to do is to block any outgoing Email that goes through any of those email clients.
I´ve tried using the web destination option, but is not working.
There are three rules in the dlp may be used to protection, but wo only can use it in same limit.
The web post protection rule is supported only for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and later. For other browsers, use network communication protection rules.
So,it can not working when you use any email clients.
And the email protection rule is supported only by Clinet of Microsoft exchange Client (Outlook) and IBM lotus domin.
if you environments is not match this, you only can use the network communication protection rule to do it.
1. Using tag rule to create tag at you document which you want to protect.
2. Block the 80 port and any destination for your webmail.
3. Block the port of your email client (eg:110 for pop3,etc) and any destination for your email client.
Ok, I´ve tried using the web post protection rule, but the thing is that I dont wont to block the login to hotmail, or been able to read your inbox. What I want is if the user is uploading a file using one of this client, I don want the upload to succed.
using thw web protection all i´ve been able to do is to block the web page.
triger that rule only on when tagged documents attached...
when you run WEb Post Protaction rule wizard.. you can decide when you want this rule to be applied... (like for all Office files)..
Plz caution what i said in 1.
1.Using tag rule to create tag at you document which you want to protect.
And you should be set the rule only monitor your document which had been targeted,it will not block all function, either email Client login or you reading.
it only come into force when you trying to upload document which had been targerted in step 1.
