Intermittent issues with Chrome

Hello,

I have DLP setup to block all file uploads for all browsers, everything works as expected, however from time to time, I see that the DLP fails to block files uploads with a "Non-Supported Chrome Version" reason. The DLP Enpoint version installed on the client is 11.3.2.82, whilst the Google Chrome version is 79.0.3945.130.

Any ideas or suggestions on what may be causing this issue?

Thanks for your reply. I do have access to the download section for DLP products, but I am unable to find the Chrome offsets.xml file as described in the KB ☹️. Is it part of one of the DLP packages?

To download the latest Chrome offsets.xml file, perform the following steps:

1. Go to the Product Downloads, Free Security Trials $ Tools page.
2. Click Download under Product Downloads.
3. In the My Products Login page:
   1. Grant Number: Enter the grant number.
   2. Email Address: Enter your email address.
   3. Click Submit.
4. In the My Products page:
   1. Scroll down to Products.
   2. Expand Data Protection suite and deselect the Show only latest version checkbox. 
   3. Locate and click the McAfee Data Loss Prevention and Device Control 11.0 link.
   4. In the Filters panel, select INSTALLATION.
   5. Under Available Downloads, click Chrome Supported Version 66 to start the download.

What if Chrome supported Version 66 is not in my Downloads?  I do see "McAfee Data Loss Prevention ePO extension Version 11.4" and "McAfee Data Loss Prevention Endpoint Client for Mac Version 11.4".

I had to raise a support case as well since there was no xml file available for download. It seems that that new versions of Chrome will be supported by upgrade the DLP. The latest 11.4 version, officially supports up to version 79 of Chrome.

I wonder how quickly they'll be updating these supported Chrome versions.  We're already at Chrome V 80...

@jordan23 See if you have Chrome Version 80.0.3987.12 or a different one.
