If this is limited to just DLP then it's probably best to post the question to the DLP channel, as it would most likely be related to the DLP extension.
Fwiw, whenever that message appears it always maps to a more detailed entry in the orion log file.
Whatever that message is, you might then be able to use to search in the McAfee knowledge Base.
What specific version of ePO do you have installed? 5.9.0 or 5.9.1? The DLP 11.4 extension unfortunately is not supported on 5.9.0 and earlier versions (see KB68147 for details). However, ePO 5.9.1 is supported with DLP 11.4.
If your version is ePO 5.9.0, there are effectively two options:
1. Restore your ePO server and ePO database to a backup taken prior to upgrading to the DLP 11.4 extension. KB66616 contains steps to perform this, however I would recommend contacting McAfee ePO Support if assistance is needed. After your restore is complete, upgrade to ePO 5.9.1 or later, then check in the DLP 11.4 extension.
2. If a disaster recovery of your ePO server and database is not possible, the DLP extension must be completely removed. As you have clients running the DLP 11.4 Agent, the 11.4 extension is required. Therefore, after the DLP extension has been completely removed, you will need to upgrade to ePO 5.9.1 or later. I recommend contacting McAfee DLP Support for assistance in completely removing the DLP extension. Simply removing the extension via the ePO console does not completely remove all DLP tables from the database.
Hi @User30419601 ,
In addition to the post from @Corey-DLP , kindly enable orion debugging if you are still facing issue, and note down the time when you are getting this error in the UI and in the orion debug logs you can search for the string "An unexpected error occurred" and it could help you with the detailed error message.
You can raise up a support case with McAfee Tech Support for further investigation.
Below KB shows us how to enable Orion Debugging.
