Prasunthapa,

You will need to set the user as a policy owner. To set an EPO user to be a policy owner, go to the policy catalog and edit the owner column. I was able to confirm this resolved the issue

From personal experience in our environment, I would also confirm that we have had and still have to do this whenever we give a new user access to manage DLP policy. Since we do not do it often its easy to forget though.

prasunthapa,

There may be several factors at play that may be causing you to not have the ability to apply policy with the newly created user.

*The user may not have full permissions.

*The user may not have access to see the system tree.

*The user may not have the permission sets applied to that user.

Please provide more detail as to how permissions are configured.

Thanks

Prasunthapa,

You should definitely see more options in this area when clicking on the "Action" button.

Have you tried a different browser? Also, if you go to the Policy Catalog and click on the desired policy, do you see the option to "Apply policy" in the bottom right hand corner of the screen? If so, you may be able to use this method as a work around to apply policy.

If changing browsers does not work, you may have an extension issue, which in this case may require an uninstall and reinstall of the DLP extension. If you choose to perform uninstall and reinstall of the extension, please go to Menu, Data Protection, and select DLP settings. From here, click on Back up and Restore and Backup to file to export a copy of your existing policies for DLP.

This is seen with default admin user. But when new user is created and added permission sets of DLP only not able to assign Rule to the policy set as it shows no other option.
