Does purging DLP incidents delete the corresponding evidence files from the evidence share?

Jump to solution

Hi,

I've got a task set up to delete DLP incidents after 90 days.  I'm about to change our policy to start collecting evidence, but I'm interested to know if the purge task will delete any corresponding files in the evidence folder or if you have to housekeep these as a separate task.  I've found the official documentation a bit lacking for DLP so some feedback from some who already has this set up would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Purging incidents do not automatically purge the Evidence files. I would suggest setting up an automatic task on the server OS to delete files.

Thanks for the info.  I'll set up a purge task in Windows then.
