Device Control with EEPC6 Intergration

Jump to solution

I am currently setting up a new installation of DLP Device control in an EEPC6 environment.

I am trying to get Encryption through EEPC6 to work when DLP Protection rules are triggered. This is mentioned on page 14 of the DLP 3 guide under "Encrypt on demand"

I have followed the following video: http://www.youtube.com/user/McAfeeTechnical#p/u/54/9W9sDdk54xg but this is from an Endpoint Encryption 5 intergration not EEPC6.

The problem I am having is in setting up the Encryption Keys in DLP as I don't know where to find them in the EEPC config on the ePO4.5 server.

Is this possible?

Any advice and guidance is appreciated.

Thanks

Tom

It's EEFF which does encryption when linked to DLP, not EEPC6. That will be why you can't find it in EPO - EEFF v3 is not policy controled though EPO.

EEFF v4 will be in EPO, but not for a few months yet.

Thank you for that explanation.

This is not made clear in the documentation as they just refer to "McAfee Endpoint Encryption" as being required.

I guess it's that McAfee sympton of too many similar named products which overlap each over striking again!

I'll keep an eye out for the EEFF v4 in a few months.

Thanks,

Tom
