Does anyone know of any resources where DLP best practices, or some good examples of basic tasks are shown or explained? I'm always curious to see what others are doing with their products - it almost always leads to good ideas that others can implement in their offices.
There are McAfee DLP product training classes you can enroll where they teach about differnent type of rule creation and advanced troubleshooting. There are also McAfee partner training classes you can enroll and get to know new things.
The DLP product guides are not bad either!
Then it's really hard to get what you wanted =)
Creating basic rules are already there in product manual, install manual is there to help you with installation of the product. Even you have a KB and DLP community here to inform you about user issues and experience!
What exactly you are looking for?
AB, I don't know, I guess just examples and theory discussion. For instance, if your company watches all Office documents that are copied to removable media - what was the purpose/theory behind doing that and how did you go about setting up the rules to accomplish that. That's a pretty basic example, but that's kind of what I'm talking about.
devilson911, thanks for the link. Most of your videos are on installation from the looks of it, but I'll definitely keep checking the site for more videos. Much appreciated.
Hmm...that's tough to get bud! In this perfect world, you get no free lunch....did I say perfect
There are a couple of websites like http://securosis.com/ etc, those might help you in getting better understanding of DLP as a whole..but not specific to McAfee I hope.
