DLP device list in rule condition

Hello all,

I have encountered an issue creating rule considering group of specified (serial numbers) USB devices. I need to import larger number of devices (it is imposible to maintain Device Template manually or import hundreds of lines there to manually click Groups out of them every time we need to upgrade a list).

I cant find a way to create a condition in a rule for certain devices only. There is option for doing this in an exceptions (serial numbers and user pair) but not in condition page. In older DLP this was possible.

So am I missing something, or is there a workaround, or will this be possible in DLP in near future? I think that import list of devices for a rule is essential in enterprise data loss prevention solution.

Thank for replies Joseph

Re: DLP device list in rule condition

Hi icik,

Thanks for posting your question.

If you have the Device Instance ID you are able to add it to a Device Template.
Device Template can be found under DLP Policy Manager, Definitions tap.

Then, you can add the device template in the rule exceptions.
