I am trying to install the DLP WCF Service on to EPO 4.0 and im getting stuck at the first hurdle. It brings up the screen for all the DB details and automatically fills in the correct server name and DB name. At the end of the server name it puts in the servernam\EPOSERVER - where does it get EPOSERVER from? Is this needed or not? I can not get past this screen as it keeps telling me to verify my connection credentials. I have tried putting in servername\database name but still no luck. I have created a new sql user and given it full rights to the db so it can not be an auth issue
All fixed for me; when you do the install and it gets to the DB details I was putting in servernam\EPOSERVER when it shoule of been servernam\SQLexpress.
The DB instance, you can verify in ePO \core\config page (https://localhost:8443/core/config).
The Same, you need to write while installing WCF.
If you are using full version of SQL then DB server will be the machine name where SQL is installed orelse normally the DB server will be 'machine name'\DB instance.on 5/4/11 5:17:02 PM IST
If you use SQL 2005 not the express with epo in default instance.
The DB server will be "MACHINENAME" if you not modify it.
If you ues SQL 2005 express with epo in default instance.
The DB server will be "Machinename\eposerver"
If you have SQL 2005 management studio. you will see it in the top left corner when you login in it.
or you can see the DB instance, you can verify in ePO \core\config page (https://localhost:8443/core/config).
