DLP Policy Manager "Apply policy failed" after install of DLP 11.5 extension

Everything works when using DLP 11.4 extension, but after I update to DLP 11.5 extension I cannot apply a policy from policy manager. If I revert to 11.4 extension, it works, but I do have 11.5 DLP clients installed for testing at this point. (I hope backward compatible).

"Apply policy failed"

Any ideas?

In the orion log there is an error about "cannot generate key":

Re: DLP Policy Manager "Apply policy failed" after install of DLP 11.5 extension

Hello and thank you for posting here.

Can you verify what version of ePO you have the DLP 11.5 extension installed on?

Also, you mentioned that you removed the 11.5 extension and reinstalled 11.4. How did you remove the 11.5 extension. Simply removing the extension from within ePO does not remove all of the DLP database tables.

Re: DLP Policy Manager "Apply policy failed" after install of DLP 11.5 extension

Essentially, yes, this is all done through ePO. I installed the DLP 11.5 extension. It didn't work, maybe didn't install correctly. I removed it and re-added 11.4 extension.

I did the same thing just now. This time, after adding the 11.5 extension, the DLP policies were all gone. I reimported my 11.4 backup, and now the policy applies.

I am testing.

Not sure what happened, but other than re-importing and re-assigning the policies, everything appears to be working now.

Thank you.
