DLP Monitoring of File Marking change

Hi, 

I was wondering if DLP has the ability to monitor if a user has changed file markings for a document.  Say a document is marked (or tagged) sensitive, and a user removes that marking or tag in order to exfiltrate and evade DLP.  Once marked or classified by DLP, does DLP "remember" that the document is marked and alert if it is changed?  Thanks.

Data Loss Prevention could accomplish that if desired. The problem is the Cloud component. If the data was moving from the Endpoint through a local cloud app synchronizing data to the cloud DLP Endpoint could still give you visibility. You will have problems if someone uploads data to a business cloud app that is accessed out of band and that’s where you would need a CASB solution like Symantec CloudSOC as well.
