Let's face it people it DOESN'T WORK!

Re: DLP Do not work "network protection rule"

The rules do work. You need to configure them correctly.

Agreed that this rule type needs more testing, but I have not had a problem so far.

Re: DLP Do not work "network protection rule"

I have the same problem. Could you explain me, how can I specify this rule? McAfee Agent notifies me, that "network connection was blocked: icq.exe", but instant messages in spite of my network protection rule have been delivered for recipient.

PS I am sorry for my English

Re: DLP Do not work "network protection rule"

this rule does work, just that it's a bit confusing to set up and it doesn't work as you'd expect it to (accoring to the explanations in the wizzard)... at least that's what I noticed.

Re: DLP Do not work "network protection rule"

It does`t work.

Did anybody create support ticket?

Re: DLP Do not work "network protection rule"

It works but it has to be corectly configured.

First check if Handler is ON (check in Global Agent Configuration), than check Proxy because if proxy is ON this rule won't work corectly.

Last thing to check is configuration of adressess - and this is very important - protocols & ports.

Best Regards
