DLP 9.1 WORKING WITH THIRD PARTY ANTIVIRUS

Jump to solution

Hello everybody,

I have DLP 9.1 patch 1 working with a third party antivirus. I have already installed the DLP agent and it is working, but the machine presents a reduced in performance since the DLP agent was installed. How can I improve the performance ?, what are the processes and the files that shoul be excluded from the antivirus scanning ?, another suggestion?.

Thanks in advanced.

Regards,

Carlos

While the article is written with VirusScan in mind, the third party AV should have similar exclusion settings.

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB68520

From the article:

Exclude Host DLP processes

The processes to exclude for Host DLP are as follows:

  • fcags.exe
  • fcagte.exe
  • fcagswd.exe
  • fcag.exe
  • fcagt.exe (Host DLP 2.2 and earlier)

Default locations:

  • C:\Program Files\McAfee\DLP\Agent
  • C:\Program Files\McAfee\DLP\Agent\Vista32

Thanks Tony. With these exceptions, the performance is better and DLP is working fine.

Thanks again.
