I have rolled out the DLP 9 agent across several machines, I have also set up some basic rules that prevent the use of removeable storage devices for those users. I also setup a Plug and Play rule for testing on my own pc, however according to the DLP Monitor this Plug and Play test rule is being enforced against other users as well as myself even though the only users assigned are my own user accounts & I can't figure out why. Any ideas?
Check your warnings while you apply the rule or may be "u have included everyone or local users" in your assignment group for that rule..!!
I decided to start again so I removed all the user groups I had setup for the departments and just made 2 groups (those that can access removeable devices and those that can't). Seems to be working ok now.
