Greetings,
Recently, I upgrade my DLP version to 11.4.
I saw that on our Windows Client Configuration on ePO, Chrome Supported version goes until 66 version and chrome actual build is 78.
Is there any recently file to update Chrome Supported Version for DLP 11.4?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Rapha,
Thank you for choosing McAfee Support Community
DLPe v11.3 and DLPe v11.4 supports google chrome v72 and above only. There is no need for an XML file for each chrome release.

I am searching for a DLP 11.4 failure reason of "non-supported chrome version" and I keep coming up with these statements that say that DLP 11.4 supports all versions of Chrome above v72. In my environment we have DLP 11.4 and Chrome 81 and I see hundreds of events where there is no DLP rule triggered, severity=info, expected action = block, actual action=no action and failure reason = "non-supported chrome version" .
It's not consistent, sometimes a reboot resolves for a while, sometimes a reinstall of DLP resolves for a while. That would not be so bad except that the users actually receive popups and sometimes receive web post timeout messages. These cause helpdesk tickets, and there is no resolution.
Most (probably all) of these events come from what I perceive to be background web traffic, AJAX or asynchronous traffic that loads in the browser after a page is rendered.
I see on KB89301 (DLP 11.x.x known issues I see that this issue was supposed to be fixed in DLP 11.3 (ref: DLPW-4540)
I am upgrading to DLP 11.5 in the next few weeks, and will specifically look for this issue.
Hi @ISmith ,
Kindly refer to this post, it has a detailed explanation as of why you are seeing this failure reason.
And also the KB says that the issue Found in version 11.3 and above, KB89301, the fix version is not updated yet. Its supposed to be resolved in DLP 11.6
DLPW-4540 | - | 11.3 | - | Issue: When the Chrome Injection is disabled and the rule is triggered, the Incident Manager on ePO displays the failure reason as “Non-Supported Chrome Version.” |
Thank you
Thank you. I see that I read the known-issues KB wrong and that the "resolved in" field is empty indicating not resolved.
I would not, however, call that detailed. How is Chrome injection disabled and is that something I can control? I assume that means injecting DLP into the chrome process? I searched the boards for this but don't find any details. If this is just something that won't be resolved until 11.6, then I will just wait.
