Assistance required for blocking any type of USB Modems/USB Photons etc. but at the moment we are not blocking fully USB port and USB drive.
Devices are controlled via device class based on the device GUID. You would need to create a new device class for this type of device based upon the GUID the device uses. Be very careful as this device may utilize the same device class GUID as other devices and attempting to managed this way can result in blocking of other devices. Furthermore, when a device class is placed into the Managed Device Class list, the device class will have a filter placed on it in order for DLP to monitor devices using this GUID; placing a filter on the class can result in the data flow being interrupted even without a rule specifically in place to block. Because device classes are a global setting that applies a filter to the device class, meaning they apply to all systems with DLP managed by that ePO regardless if a rule is , all testing of editing of device classes should not be performed on your production ePO but rather a test ePO environment.
