what is inbound event invalid ICMP ping packet

In my inbound event log I am getting a recurring message about ICMP ping from a local IP on my network

and the details says:

A computer at 192.168.0.10 has sent an invalid packet to your computer

The source IP is a non-routable IP.

My home network is connected to a router w/o any DMZ/port fwd setup.

I understand what ICMP pings are but since the src is a valid computer on my network what does the

non-routable IP mean? I can ping that computer w/o any issues. Is there a way to get any other detail on

the event? In case it matters that IP is a black box linux machine from a 3rd party.

Thanks,

Tom
