hi - we are using McAfee Internet Security product - I need to exclude some folders/programs from real-time scanning - it is not obvious/clear how to do this - any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: trusted programs not to scan

That feature, which used to be a part of the product years ago, will return when the 2011 product is released from beta testing.  Your software will update automatically when available to you.

Until then it isn't possible unfortunately.

If something is being detected in error follow the procedure outlined here:  https://community.mcafee.com/thread/2016

You're welcome.  If you happen to have a spare computer you could run the beta product on, it is available if you want it here:  https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-1236
