after today update (august 18 2012) I'm not able to open mcagent.exe.
Anyone knows if it's a bug?
I'm using W7 32bits Enterprise SP1
The McAfee Virtual Technician says that everything it's OK, no problems found.

I'm also having the same issue.
Mcafee Antiviral / Antiviral Plus ... Windows Vista
Ran the Technichian, fixed some problems, but this error still remains.
I tried the Technichian program and it failed when loading the program.
I tried reinstalling Total protection and it said to make sure Java Script was installed.
I am running Win7 home .
This error just occured today when I rebooted. Yesterday when I rebooted everything came up without a problem.
Ran Microsoft Essentials and found no problems.
Why are you trying to open mcagent.exe specifically rather than simply clicking the taskbar icon? Regarding the previous post, what did you skip - do you know? Note that if you have Security Essentials installed then McAfee will fail.
