.bat file blocked

I am trying to create a batch file to close a program at 5AM every day (taskkill).

When I do so, and try to save it, McAfee automatically deletes it claiming it "detected and automatically removed a trojan".

How can I bypass this issue or change settings to make this possible?

Please help, thanks.

Re: .bat file blocked

What trojan?

Interesting can you zip the file as explained here and email it to Mcafee. When they reply change the subject to say false +ve and name of detection and email them back. Post the analysis id here. Say also why it is a fa;lse +ve.

Another example that McAfee needs better options on setting exclusions (from Real-Time Scanning).

Well, I got around it by turning off the firewall, then saving the file, and turning the firewall back on. I'm not sure whether or not the virus scanner will delete it, though.

I would email it so it never gets picked up. Why the firewall would help beats me. The scanner should still detect it.

Re picking it ie bat files up add that as an idea for future versions ie user specified files exclusions.
