Windows 7 - Action Center

Hello,

My action center in my Windows 7 - Home Premium (64-bit) says that I have no virus protection.  I've installed McAfee Total Protection.  Is this something that I can ignore or am I not covered?

Thank you.1.png

Re: Windows 7 - Action Center

As long as your Software says you are secure, you are okay. Sometimes doing a restart will cause the Action Center to recognize your McAfee Product.

Re: Windows 7 - Action Center

Thank you for your reply.

My next question has to do with running the different aspects of this software.  Whenever I try to open McAfee, it takes a long time for it to boot up.  Second I have tried several times to run a fiull scan and it never works.  In fact it just shuts down.  Should I do a complete delete and reinstall?

Thank you again.

Re: Windows 7 - Action Center

Try running Self Help - McAfee Virtual Technician and see if it fixes your problems. If not uninstall from your Control Panel/Programs and Features. Then follow up with the  Removal Tool (MCPR) . Go to your Account and Download/Reinstall.
