Uninstall/re - install process question

Hi All,

I've had to uninstall Security center due to the impact of the latest update. But when I try to re-install my licence, it shows my laptop as covered, and won't allow a download. How do I correct this?

Did you run MCPR after uninstalling?

Hi,

  • Run the below removal tool before reinstalling the McAfee and check you are able to install the McAfee

  • If still you have the same problem, login to your McAfee Account
  • Click on Device Protection and you will see the  computer names which are in active status
  • If all the licenses are used deactivate the unused Machine name
  • Logout and Login to McAfee account and check you are able to install the McAfee.

If trouble deactivating the machine that is not in use contact McAfee customer service in the phone 1-866-622-3911
